Oslob Cebu: Whale Shark Watching

We arrived at Mactan  - Cebu International Airport at about 9PM. Upon checking our itinerary for our 5 day stay at Elalou Apartelle, we were supposed to wake up at 1AM for preparation and leave at exactly 2:30AM. From Elalou Apartelle, we took a cab going to Ceres Terminal. We paid php170.00 to manong taxi driver who dropped us inside the terminal.
When we rode the bus, the front seats were full so we occupied the seats at the back. The pretty foreigner beside me transferred so we could sit beside each other. We paid Php165.00/person from terminal to Oslob Cebu. The travel took us around 2 and 1/2 hours to get to the resort and oh dear!! the bus was extremely fast that obstacles jump out of its way! Hahaha.. I made sure I was awake all throughout the travel. It was scary to sit at the back because you'll really feel the bumps and turns of the bus. There was a point when the bus reached the end part of a bridge and it kind of flew and hit hard on the road that it woke everyone up. Scary indeed! but FUN!

HOW TO GO TO OSLOB CEBU:
1. Go to South Bus Terminal in Cebu City.
In our case, we rode a cab from Elalou Apartelle to South Bus Terminal and paid Php 170.00.
2. In the South Bus Terminal, ride a bus going to Oslob. Tell the bus driver or "kunduktor"to drop you at Oslob for Whale Watching. Php 165.00/person.
3. Register.
Underwater Camera (including the manong photographer) - Php 550.00 (for the group)
Whale Watching Fee (inclusive use of snorkeling gears)     - Php 500.00 / person
Registration - Php 100.00 / person

We arrived at the resort at 5AM. It was still dark. We ate our breakfast there (grilled chorizo, fried rice and egg).

It was really relaxing seeing this view while eating breakfast!!
We will never forget this day! Best breakfast ever.

At 6AM people started coming in. The following are the expenses we had to pay for to fully enjoy our activity!

Underwater Camera (including the manong photographer) - Php 550.00 (for the group)
Whale Watching Fee (inclusive use of snorkeling gears)     - Php 500.00 / person
Registration - Php 100.00 / person

Before we headed to see the whale shark, we were given a briefing about the do's and don'ts of the activity.

Here are some of the pictures taken by our assigned guide (Kuya Mario).

As all of my friends know, I cannot swim! I needed something to hold on to so I chose to stay by the boat. When I saw the whale coming, it was marvelously beautiful creature!!
